Funded hours
Children who are 3 years and over are entitled to 15 hours pre-school funding from the term after their third birthday. When your child starts pre-school you will be given further information about Early Years education funding, how it works and how claims are made.
An extended entitlement of 30 hours childcare funding is available for eligible working parents. For more information about this extended entitlement and to check whether you might be eligible, please visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk or speak to a member of pre-school staff.
For families on a lower income/in receipt of certain benefits, two year old funding may be available for children aged two to three years. Information about this funding is also available from pre-school.
Fees
Where sessions are not funded, or if children go above funded hours. We have a two-tier rate for pre-school fees, whereby children under the age of 3 are charged a higher hourly rate than those over 3 years old.
This reflects the additional staff to child ratio that is required to care for children under 3 years old.
Our current fee rate is as follows:
2 year olds: £4.80 per hour
Over 3 year olds: £4.20 per hour
Invoices for fees and school lunches are sent out at the beginning of each half term, these are to be paid in advance. We do offer alternative payment plans by prior arrangement.
